Our
main focus is the application of structural geology and
mineralogy to the understanding of mineral deposits, either in
mining or exploration projects.
We emphasize problem- solving and lateral thinking in the fields of structural
interpretation and economic geology.
Projects have involved direct geological consulting for large- and
medium-sized companies. Work is undertaken either individually or
as a structural specialist within a project team.
One of our main areas of activity is in open pit mines, where
we form the interface between complex structural settings and
geotechnical analysis and design, often with the aid of 3-D
modelling.
Areas of activity are mainly located in Africa (e.g. South
Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, DRC, Ethiopia,
Guinea, Burkina Faso). Compliance with the Codes
and Ethics of SACNASP, GSSA and the SEG (USA) is emphasized.
Services
include, but are not limited to:
- Structural mapping and interpretation

structural modeling
- Aerial photograph, aeromagnetic/geophysical and Landsat interpretation
- Mineralogical characterization of orebodies
- Customized geological database design
- Collation and assessment of data sets
- Borehole logging
- Literature surveys
